Description
South View in Ancrum is a two-storey, two-bay end-of-terrace property built in the earlier to mid 19th century. The building features cream painted harling with red sandstone ashlar dressings, including a cill course and quoins on the outer right side. The south elevation has a bowed bay on the right, which includes a window on each floor, and a small piended roof with a slate-hung dormer. To the left, there is a bay with a pilastered and corniced doorpiece, a panelled door, and a fanlight. The windows are sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews along with one brick and one stone gablehead stack.
