Description
Earlier to mid 19th century with later additions and alterations. Symmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay plain classical style former manse with projecting wing at rear forming near T-plan. Coursed and bull-faced render to front; coursed render to sides. Base course; eaves course; narrow quoin strips; margins; projecting cills. Single storey with attic, rectangular-plan former coach house set to NW.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set, flush-panelled door centred at ground; decorative fanlight; plain surround with decorative frieze and consoled cornice. Single window centred at 1st floor; single windows at both floors in flanking bays.
SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: main block to right with single window at ground off-set to right of centre. Later wing recessed to outer left.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 1998.
12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows to front. Grey slate piended roof. Corniced wallhead stacks to SW (render) and NE (sandstone); various octagonal cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
FORMER COACH HOUSE: harl-pointed rubble sandstone; tooled sandstone dressings. SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2-leaf boarded timber sliding door centred at ground; squat opening aligned above. Grey slate piended roof. INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: heavily-pointed, low coped wall enclosing site to front. Rusticated sandstone, square-plan gatepiers flanking vehicular entrances to outer left and right; pyramidal caps; modern iron gates.
