Description
14 St Ella's Place in Eyemouth is a mid-18th century building featuring a two-storey range with a harled exterior and a pantiled roof. The west-facing front has six bays and two house fronts, with central doors framed by lugged architraves. Most of the glazing has been renewed, and there are blind windows in the southern bay. The south front consists of two bays, with rendered surfaces and ashlar angle margins and skews. The ground floor was altered for use as a shop in the 19th century, with the shop front recently removed. The shop windows and door now have rendered margins, and there is a plaster cartouche situated between the first-floor windows, which feature lugged architraves and retain their original upper sashes. A rectangular panelled stack with a cavetto cornice is located at the gable.
