Stable Block, Kingsmeadows House, Kingsmeadows Road, Peebles

The stable block at Kingsmeadows House, built in 1890, is a large single-storey quadrangular structure with a secondary court to the east. It has been converted into seven dwellings and is constructed from whinstone with cream sandstone ashlar dressings.

In the principal court, there is a segmental carriage arch located in the taller pavilion at the center of the west range. The arch features keystones with the crest "PRO PATRIA" on the outer face and the initials "JAH" along with the date "1890" on the inner face, topped by a gabled dovecote. To the north, there is a four-bay cottage with a dry dash extension on the outer face, and garages are located at the southwest corner of the court to the south. The north range has been harled and rebuilt, featuring a projecting four-bay block on the outer face and six bays within the court. The south range includes two three-bay cottages, one of which has a box dormer on the outer face. The east range has eight bays and a partly blocked carriageway at the center of the southern bay.

In the secondary court, there is a four-bay cottage to the south with a largely blank face towards the court, while the north range is roofless and has a pair of carriage arches, along with a screen wall to the east. The windows are mostly timber, featuring 12-pane sash and case designs, and the roofs are piended with grey slates.
