Description
The Shedden Park Pavilion, located on Shedden Park Road in Kelso, was built around 1852. This single-storey, rectangular lodge features a classical design and is constructed from polished ashlar stone. The east-facing front has three bays, with the central bay canted forward and featuring a glazed door. The flanking bays include windows that have moulded architraves and slightly advanced aprons, with clasping pilasters at the corners. A cornice with a parapet is inscribed with 'Shedden Park, Keeper's Lodge' and is raised above the door, which is adorned with a large armorial panel. The roof is piended and platformed, covered with slate, and has a central rendered chimney stack. The property is enclosed by low stone coped boundary walls, although the railings have been removed.
