Description
Norton Farmhouse is a late 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan former farmhouse that is currently unoccupied and in partial disrepair as of 2008. The building is constructed of rubble with red sandstone dressings and features raised cills. The principal elevation faces west and has a central doorway with windows on either side. There are three windows on the first floor that are positioned close to the eaves. A raised door is located on the south elevation. The east (rear) elevation has five window openings arranged in a cross formation, while the north elevation is blind. The building is complete to the wallhead and has a corrugated iron roof. All openings on the long elevations are currently blocked, and the end stacks are no longer present.
Inside, there is little surviving evidence, but there is a fireplace located at the north gable on the first floor.
