Description
The building is a dispensing chemist, R. A. Macivor, located in the Market Place of Eyemouth. It dates from the early 19th century and consists of a two-storey block divided into two houses, featuring quoins at the ends and polished ashlar stonework, with a painted ashlar plinth and margins.
Wilbara House has three bays, with a central door that is an original nine-panelled design, flanked by twelve-pane double sash windows. There are two modern platform dormers in the attic. R. A. Macivor's section has two bays and includes a modern shop at ground level, with renewed glazing. The roof is slated, rectangular in shape, with rendered end stacks and a central stack that lacks a cope or cornice.
