Description

This early 20th century railway footbridge spans the former Selkirk District railway line. It features two tapered latticed mild steel support trussed towers and curved steel buttress dies that support riveted diamond lattice steelwork parapets and textured steel sheets on the floor. At each end, there are square section cast-iron gateposts topped with ball finials, along with twin wrought iron gates.
