Description
Houston House is a stone-built mansion with two storeys and a basement, featuring a slated roof. The northwest portion of the house is quite plain and may date from the 16th or 17th century, and it includes a doorpiece that is dated "1625." The southeast portion was constructed around 1872 in the Victorian Scots style, characterized by its porch, gables, and crow-stepped dormer heads.
