Description
Old House of Gask is an extensive 17th century courtyard house that underwent significant reconstruction in 1932. The west wing, known as Jacobite Hall, was rebuilt from ruins and is a three-storey structure made of rubble, featuring crowstepped gables and pantiled roofs with swept dormer heads. An arched north gateway with a bellcote is dated 1632. The ruined south wing is two-storey and has sculptured dormer heads dated 1641. There is a circular angle tower at the southeast, which has a later thatched roof. A lead tank on the property is dated 1740.
Additionally, there are two sundials: one features four circular vertical dials with a ball finial on a baluster, while the other is an obelisk sundial, also with a ball finial, both likely dating from the 17th century.
