Tayfletts House, Isla Road, Perth

Tayfletts House, located on Isla Road in Perth, dates from the later 18th century to the early 19th century. This building features a two-storey main block with an attic and wings, constructed from rubble stone, which has recently been cleaned. The main block has three windows on its west (river) front and includes two piended dormers with round arched windows. The fenestration of the wings has been partly altered, with one dormer head located at the left-hand wing. The east front of the main block is wider and has a gambrel roof treatment, along with a widely spaced three-window arrangement and a moulded Venetian type door. The roofs are slated, and there are rubble garden walls surrounding the property.
