Description

William Gauldie, 1927-8. Single storey and attic, rectangular-plan, late Arts and Crafts cottage-style, pair of semi-detached villas. Harled, grey/green slate roof and ridge tiles, harled ridge stack with red brick coping, black (original?) cans. Mainly 6- and 8-pane timber casement windows (unsympathetic modern replacement to 1st floor, N elevation, no 14; some astragals removed from stair windows, no 12).

N ELEVATION: 2 canted windows to centre flanked by doors and 6-pane windows; deep eaves, paired jettied gables with 4-light horizontal windows.

W GABLE: window and later porch to right; stair window flanked by bipartites of different sizes, lintel course.

E GABLE: door and window to left; stair window flanked by bipartites of different sizes, lintel course.

N ELEVATION: not seen.

INTERIOR: not seen.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: rubble-coped rubble boundary wall to N,

8 rubble-built pyramidal-capped gatepiers.
