Description

The gateway at North Drive, Scone Palace, dates from around 1580 to 1600 and is a remnant of the Old Palace, possibly incorporating older masonry. It features a segmentally arched entrance, which is flanked by semi-circular towers displaying the arms of King James and Lord Stormont. There is also an angle turret to the northwest.
