Description

The Smithy in Netherton is a simple vernacular building, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is a single-storey house with an attic, featuring two windows and a central door. The exterior is made of whitewashed rubble and slate, and it has two neat dormers. There are also outbuildings aligned with the main structure, with roofs that are partly asbestos and partly slated. The building was re-categorised in 2006 from grade B to grade C(S) due to its group interest, which includes considerations for both the interior and exterior as relevant to its type.
