Description
Priory Island at Loch Tay is a ruin consisting of two buildings that run east and west, with a total length of 142 feet. The main part measures 81 feet by 31 feet and includes a hall that is 55 feet long. There is also a barmekin with evidence of a square tower at the northwest angle. This structure was erected on the site of a former priory and likely incorporates parts of it. It dates back to 1480, was burnt in 1509, and subsequently rebuilt.
