Description
Rhynd Parish Church was designed by William Mackenzie in 1842 and features a Tudor Gothic style. The building has a T-plan layout with a porch on the south gable and a pinnacled tower at the center of the north wall. It is constructed from whinstone with sandstone dressings. Inside, the church has a four-centre arched ceiling and was largely refurnished in 1923. There is a tapestry that is said to have been displayed at the 1851 Exhibition. The church also houses a bell originally from 1711, which was recast in 1878.
