Description

Blacklinn Bridge, designed by engineer James Mitchell and built by James Buchan, has its foundation laid in May and was opened on 5th October 1836. The bridge features a single semi-circular arch with droved dressings and includes belt courses at the parapet and terminal piers. The approaches to the bridge are curved in a Z-bend shape.
