Description
Drummonie House, dated 1697 and 1703, is a two-storey building with an attic and a square plan. The exterior is harled with margins and features a U-plan valley roof with crow-stepped gables. The front has five windows and a double gable design, highlighted by a central wallhead balustrade. There is a central Roman Doric column supporting a segmentally arched tripartite doorpiece, which likely dates from 1818. The west front has swept dormer heads on the second floor. A two-storey northeast wing, probably from the mid-18th century, is attached, along with extensive rubble-built offices. The back northwest wing was added in 1818 and serves as a ballroom for the hotel.
