Description
Inchbank, located at 26 Main Street in Perth, dates from around 1800 and is a three-storey building with an attic and basement. The façade is made of diagonally droved ashlar and features Roman Doric pilastered ends. At the ground floor, there is a central cavetto doorpiece with an elaborately ornamented frieze, flanked by two windows and a central door. Above, the second floor has three windows, with the central window being segmentally pedimented. The attic features a wallhead gable with a Venetian window that has a basket traceried upper sash, along with two small original dormers. The flanks and sides of the building are constructed from rubble, and there is a canted stair tower at the back.
