Description

Cairn Cottage, built in 1889 by James M. MacLaren, is a detached L-plan block of single-storey and attic cottages. It features a projecting two-storey wing with a jerkin-head gable at the southeast corner. The walls are harled, and the roofs are thatched, with the thatch extending over the wallhead attic windows, creating rounded dormerheads in the English style.
