Description
The building at Baldinnies Farm has its origins in the 18th century and includes a steading that was developed later. The mill is a two-storey structure with a loft and features a kiln, although it does not have a vent. The roofs are bridged, and the construction is primarily rubble with droved dressings. The large steading includes arched cartsheds. There is a 14-inch by 5-foot overshot water wheel situated between the mill and the steading, which has a cast-iron frame with diagonal stays and segmental gearing at the circumference. The wheel is noted to be in occasional use.
