Description

Balvaird is a building dating from around 1820. It is two stories high and has three windows, with a harled exterior featuring margins around a consoled doorpiece that has a cavetto splay. The roof is a piend style. There is a back wing that is part of the original house, constructed from boulder rubble, but it has been significantly altered. Both sections of the building were gutted and had their interiors renewed in 1897.
