This building, located at 243, 245, 255, and 257 Main Street in Wishaw, was designed by James Cowie in 1894. It is a three-storey, six-bay tenement block with a slightly asymmetrical rectangular plan, featuring shops on the ground floor. The structure is constructed from squared and snecked, droved red sandstone with ashlar margins, and includes a cill course between the ground and first floors, as well as an eaves course and cornice.

On the northeast elevation facing Main Street, there are modern shop fronts at ground level, with a square-headed pend in the first bay. The first floor features a Venetian window with a hoodmould, which is interrupted by a projecting keystone in the outer left bay. There is also a square-headed window that breaks the eaves on the second floor, adorned with a medallion pediment displaying the 'DN' cipher. The second bay on the first floor has a slightly canted window, with a segmental-headed, three-light window above it, all framed by a blocked cavetto moulded arch and flanking quoins. The attic storey is corniced, and the pattern of two bays is repeated in bays three to six, with the exception of the medallion ciphers: '1874' in bay three and 'DN' in bay five.

The southwest elevation, or rear, shows irregular fenestration and features two large advanced brick stair towers with lean-to roofs. The northwest and southeast elevations are obscured by adjacent buildings.

The windows are predominantly plate glass timber sash and case, with modern double glazing in bays one and two. The attic storey bays have finialed piended roofs, covered with grey slates and lead flashing, and there are cast-iron rainwater goods. The interior was not seen in 2000.
