Description
Ryefield Stables, dating from the mid 19th century, is a single storey and attic stable range arranged in a 'U' shape. It features a 7-bay central block with 5-bay projecting wings. The building is constructed from tooled coursed rubble with ashlar margins. The central block has a door with a blocked loft door and a crest above, set in a shaped gable head with an apex weather vane. The ground floor openings on either side have mostly been altered. The wings contain central segmental-headed cart entrances, both of which are now blocked. All original rectangular loft windows are still intact.
