1 Office Cottages, Altyre

2 Office Cottages in Altyre were built in the late 19th century, likely designed by architect W L Carruthers from Inverness. These are single-storey cottages facing southeast and are finished with harled exterior. The doorways are located in the second and fifth bays, each topped with tall multi-pane glazed lights that rise through the wallhead, forming weatherboarded segmental-headed dormers. The flanking windows feature multi-pane casements. The cottages have a central coped ridge stack and a piended stone slate roof, adorned with red pottery apex finials.

On the northeast and southwest gables, there are deep lean-to loggias, each with piended slate roofs supported by sturdy wooden pilasters. Additionally, there is a projecting wing at the rear of the cottages.
