Description

The Castle Street Viaduct in Cullen was built by P M Barnett between 1884 and 1886. It is a three-arch railway viaduct constructed from coursed rubble with tooled rubble dressings and some brick facings. The structure features three brick segmental arch rings that are supported by thick, squat piers. There are also some later cast-iron ties, and the low parapet is finished with an ashlar cope.
