Description

Cardean is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house located at 21 Urquhart Street in Forres. The house features a central door and has its gable end facing the street. It is constructed from squared and coursed tooled rubble with painted tooled margins. The first-floor windows are set below the eaves and are predominantly 4-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is pitched and covered with slate, featuring straight skews and coped end stacks with clay cans. The interior was comprehensively refurbished in 1982, as observed in 2013.
