Description

Glebe Bank House is a villa dating from the earlier to mid-19th century, standing two stories high with five bays and flanked by single-storey pavilions that have been subdivided. The south elevation features stugged ashlar, while the other sides are constructed of squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. The building has a base course, a band course between the floors, an eaves cornice, and raised margins.

On the south elevation facing Glebe Street, there is a gabled doorcase that is advanced at the center, featuring a panelled door (No 15) and a two-pane fanlight. The ground and first floors have regular fenestration, with a decorative cast-iron window guard at the center. To the left and right are slightly recessed single-storey pavilions with window openings, each having a corniced pier at the outer angle topped with statuary. On the outer left, there is a recessed shallow gabled doorcase with an urn above, a panelled door (No 13), and a plate glass fanlight.

The east elevation includes windows on the left and right at the first floor, with a single-storey block that has a door to the left and is adjoined to the right. The west elevation mirrors this with windows on the left and right at the first floor. The north rear elevation is four bays wide with regular fenestration.

The windows are sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof has a piend and platform design, with wallhead stacks at the center of the east and west sides, and two dormer windows on the north pitch. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are some original cans and rainwater goods.

The property features garden and boundary walls, including a coped garden wall topped with an urn and a door that connects to the neighboring terrace at No 11 Glebe Street. There is a lower garden wall with a door on the right and a low saddleback coped rubble retaining wall. Additionally, there are four corniced flat-pyramidal capped piers with recessed panels, two pedestrian piers at the center, inscribed "Glebe Bank" on the left and "House" on the right.
