Description
Wemyss Bay Railway Station and Pier was built between 1903 and 1904, designed by architect James Miller. The front buildings feature a rock-faced ashlar plinth, mock hall timber, and harling, topped with red tiled roofs. An Italianate clock tower is a prominent feature.
The concourse is two-thirds of a circle, with a circular booking office at its center. From the concourse, a curved ramp leads down to the steamboat pier, while curved railway platforms extend from it. All areas are covered with glazed steel-trussed roofs.
