Description

The Old Kirk on Nelson Street in Greenock is a simple classic building constructed between 1840 and 1841, designed by architect D. Cousin. It is made of ashlar stone and features round arched windows along with coupled giant anta columns. A steeple was added in 1854, also designed by D. Cousin, which consists of five stages and is adorned with coupled Ionic and Corinthian angle columns.
