Description
1-7 High Street in Inverness is an astylar Classical building dating from 1812. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features four storeys with a five-bay front. The windows on the first and second floors are framed with architraves and cornices, while the third-floor windows are also architraved. The ground floor has modern shop fronts. There is a cill course on the second floor, along with a cornice and parapet. The building has a bowed corner facing Church Street, which has a four-bay front. Additionally, there are incised Biblical texts on the High Street front, and the glazing has been modernized.
