Description

14 Breadalbane Crescent in Wick is a terrace of subdivided houses built around 1860. This two-storey structure features three bays and symmetrical gabled designs, constructed from coursed Caithness stone slabs. The front elevations have regular window arrangements, while the rear is more irregular.

For No. 14, the principal elevation includes three bays with a panelled door and a letterbox fanlight to the left, along with a canted dormer on the right. No. 15 has a similar three-bay layout but features a single bay on the ground floor with a separate shop to the left, a panelled door, and a letterbox fanlight, along with a canted dormer to the left. No. 16 presents a two-bay elevation with a ground floor only and a plate glass shop front. No. 17 mirrors No. 15 with a three-bay design and a single bay on the ground floor, also with a separate shop to the left, a panelled door, and a letterbox fanlight. Finally, No. 18 has a two-bay elevation with a ground floor only and a plate glass shop front.

The houses predominantly feature 12-pane sash and case windows, grey slate roofs, except for concrete tiles on No. 18, and lead flashing. The design includes coped skews and gable stacks, along with cast-iron rainwater goods. The interiors were not seen in 2001.
