15-16 Argyle Square, Wick

11 Argyle Square in Wick is a terrace of two-storey townhouses designed by Thomas Telford around 1840. The houses face northeast onto Argyle Square and feature a symmetrical, rectangular plan with predominantly two bays. The exterior is constructed from squared and tooled, long coursed Caithness stone slabs, with some sections harled.

Each house has a principal elevation with varying door placements and features. Number 11 has a door on the right and a small rooflight. Number 12 has a door on the left, a blocked doorway to the left, and a blocked pend to the right. Number 13 has a door to the right, a pend on the far left, and a blocked doorway in the center, along with a small rooflight. Number 14 features a door on the left, a blocked pend on the far left, a blocked window above, and a blocked doorway to the right, with a small rooflight. Number 15 is a three-bay house with a central door, a window above, and additional windows flanking the door, as well as two piended dormers and a rooflight in the center. Number 17 has a door on the right, a panelled door with a letterbox fanlight, a blocked doorway in the center, and a small modern gabled dormer to the left, along with a rooflight. Number 18 has a door on the left, an additional window in the center, and a single window in the upper storey, with a small modern gabled dormer to the right. The northwest elevation, facing Dunbar Street, shows a gable end with a blocked window on the ground left, a window above, and windows on the ground and upper storey to the outer right. There is also a full-height two-bay gabled addition to the rear.

The interior was not seen in 2001. The houses predominantly feature plate glass sash and case windows, grey slates, coped gable stacks with string courses, and cast-iron rainwater goods.
