Description

5 Duke Street in Cromarty is an early 19th-century building with an L-shaped plan located at the corner of Duke Street and Bank Street. The front elevation facing Duke Street has two storeys and three bays, which connects to the gable end of a single bay on Bank Street. There is a door in the gable end that features a modern glazed porch. The building has a canted corner with windows on both the ground and first floors. The façade on Duke Street is stuccoed and lined to resemble ashlar, while the Bank Street side is harled with painted margins. The windows are 12-pane sashes, and the roof is slate.
