Description
6-8 Inglis Street in Inverness is a building likely designed by James Ross in 1848, showcasing Renaissance architectural style. It is constructed of painted ashlar and consists of three storeys plus an attic, featuring a four-bay front. The ground floor includes an impressive Victorian shop. The first-floor windows on the outer sides are architraved and topped with consoled segmental pediments, while the inner windows are both architraved and corniced. The second-floor windows are adorned with a bracketed cornice. The building also has one piended dormer and is topped with a slated roof.
