Description

The mausoleum at Freswick Castle is likely from the late 18th century and was built on the site of an earlier chapel. It is a rectangular structure made of rubble and currently has no roof. The entrance is located in the center of the east elevation. On the south elevation, there are two large moulded ashlar occuli. Inside, the space is largely overgrown, but there is a fireplace in the center of the west wall, featuring moulded jambs that may have been reused.
