Description
No. 40, Beaton’s Cottage is a 19th-century traditional house located in Bornesketaig, Skye. It is a single-storey, three-bay dwelling with a central doorway. The construction is white-washed rubble with rounded corners, featuring small four-pane windows and a single similar window to the rear. There are gable end stacks and a piended thatched roof. A single-storey byre, built in a matching style and lit by two skylights, is also present. The cottage is in excellent condition and remains lived in. The statutory address is 40 Bornesketaig.
