Description
This is a two-storey house with an attic, built in 1817, located at 8 High Street in Cromarty. The house has three bays and features a later inserted shop front in the right bay. It is constructed from rubble with painted ashlar margins and has ashlar dressings. The central entrance has a pilastered doorpiece with a decorative frieze and a panelled door. The windows are 12-pane sashes, and there is an eaves band along the roofline. The house has two piended dormers and a slate roof.
Inside, there is an enriched plaster ceiling and an ornate fireplace.
