Description
Caisteal Gorach, located at Tulloch Castle, is a picturesque folly designed by Robert Adam between 1789 and 1790. This two-storey circular tower is in a ruined state, featuring a void at the rear. It has single-storey quadrants on either side that connect to outer square terminal blocks. The structure is built from rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The central entrance is round-headed, flanked by narrow round-headed side windows. Above the entrance, there is a worn plaque, a quatrefoil vent, and two cruciform mock arrow slits. The flanking wings also contain three similar narrow round-headed lights. The wallhead is irregular in shape.
