Description
The Old Manse, built in 1827/28, is a single-storey, five-bay building with projecting end bays forming a U-shaped plan. It is faced in harled (roughcast) walls with tooled ashlar margins. The front features a central door, and while most windows have been replaced with two-pane glazing, some original twelve-pane windows remain at the rear. It has symmetrical corniced ridge stacks and a West Highland slate roof. The building is bounded by cast-iron railings and a dry stone wall. Constructed according to a "Parliamentary" plan, the manse is part of a group of buildings of group value with Plockton Church.
