Primary School, Innes Street, Plockton

This is a primary school dating from the later 19th century, built in the style of Alexander Ross. Additions and repairs were undertaken in 1889. The school is a single-story building with an attic at the rear, arranged in a T-shape. The front façade has a wide four-bay design, with a projecting gabled entrance bay and a gabled chimney. The building is constructed of red rubble with ashlar dressings. Pointed arched tripartite windows are located to the right and left of the front, while the north gable features an original two-light Gothic window and the south gable has an enlarged window. Blind quatrefoils decorate the porch and front chimney, and the porch also bears a crest. Some of the windows have lattice glazing. A rear wing features a hip-roofed dormer and gable end stacks, all under a slate roof. A rubble wall surrounds the playground. The crest above the porch depicts three hands.
