13, 15 Albert Road, Glasgow

This building, located at 489, 491, 493, and 495 Victoria Road in Glasgow, is a four-storey tenement constructed in the later 19th century. It features a prominent square corner bay at the north end topped with an iron-crested French roof. The ground floor accommodates shops, while the upper levels are finished in polished ashlar. There are several canted bays and architraved 2/3-light windows in various bays, although some flanks have single-light windows. The top floor showcases pilastered jambs and mullions. Most of the windows are original sash windows. The building has horizontal string courses, a deep main entablature with a dentilled cornice, and moulded cast-iron guttering. There are oriel windows at the corner bay and on the flanks, as well as a pend leading to Dixon Avenue and a basement area with heavy iron railings. The building retains mostly original chimney stacks and has slate roofs.
