Description
This building, located at 71-79 Queen Margaret Drive in Glasgow, dates from around 1875 and is a three-storey tenement with eight irregular bays, situated on a curve that is prominently visible from Queen Margaret Bridge. The structure features ashlar stonework, with a rusticated finish at the ground level. It has a cornice above the ground floor, cill courses on the first and second floors that are bracketted, and an eaves cornice. Below the bracketted corniced windows on the first floor, there are shallow aprons. The windows are sash and case style, with a two-pane lower sash and either a six-pane or four-pane upper sash. The outer bays of the terrace include tripartite windows, and there are two canted windows near the center of the building's composition. The entrance features panelled doors with rectangular fanlights. The side elevation facing Clouston Street is plain. The building is topped with slate roofs and has wallhead and end stacks.
