3, 5, 7 Baliol Street, Glasgow

30 Baliol Street consists of two terraces of tenement buildings, with the western range (numbers 10-30) dating from around 1850 and the eastern range (numbers 3-25) from around 1865. The buildings are three storeys high, with attics and basements. They are constructed of polished ashlar, although the ground level is mostly painted.

The entrance features steps that oversail the basement, leading to doorways that are framed with architraves and cornices, topped with fanlights. All windows are also architraved, with aprons at the ground floor and cornices at the first floor. The sash windows have 12-pane glazing. There is a band course above the ground floor, a string course at the cills of the first and second floors, an eaves cornice, and a deep plain parapet. The buildings have axial stacks and slate roofs.

There are cast-iron railings leading to the steps and basement, although some are damaged. Number 10 features an advanced two-bay pavilion with similar detailing. At numbers 15 and 19, the steps have been removed and the doors lowered. A surviving cast-iron lamp bracket can be found at number 17.
