34 Balshagray Drive, Broomhill, Glasgow

28 Balshagray Drive in Broomhill, Glasgow, is a long terrace of wide, three-bay, two-storey houses designed by John Smellie Senior between 1892 and 1895. The buildings are constructed of ashlar with squared, snecked rubble on the side and rear elevations. Notable features include a plinth, a band course between the storeys, and a cill course at the first floor.

Each house has a central wide entrance with two-leaf doors, and the inner doors mostly feature etched glass, while No. 28 has stained glass panels. To the left, there are tripartite windows, and to the right at ground level, a canted balustraded window, with a similar pattern mirrored around the centre. The centre features two tripartite windows flanking a central bipartite window, all with plate glass sashes. The houses have deep, bracketed eaves and a slate roof, with end, ridge, roof slope, and wallhead covered stacks.

At the rear, there are single-storey gabled projections. The front is defined by low retaining walls and stumpy, battered gatepiers.
