2, 3 La Belle Place, Glasgow

4 and 5 La Belle Place in Glasgow is an Italianate tenement building designed by Charles Wilson in 1857. It stands three stories tall and is thematically linked to the adjacent Queen's Rooms, which is the First Church of Christ Scientist. The building features eight main bays that step down the slope and are arranged in two-bay house sections, with a single return bay to the west. The exterior is made of ashlar stone.

At the top of a flight of stone steps, there are coupled pilaster doorpieces that frame recessed entrances with fanlights and sidelights. The first and fourth bays from the east are canted, while the fifth and eighth bays project as square tripartite corniced bays. Above the main openings on the ground and first floors, there are semi-circular sculpted shell or floral panels with flanking paternae. All windows are sash and case, set within architraves.

Additional architectural details include a basement band course, chamfered podia at the ground floor, and moulded cill bands on the first and second floors. The eaves feature a modillion cornice and a parapet. The western return bay mirrors the window arrangement of the main elevation. The building is topped with axial and gable stacks and has a slate roof.
