5-7 Lynedoch Street, Glasgow

9-11 Lynedoch Street is an Italianate terrace building designed by George Smith around 1845. It is a three-storey structure with a basement, built of polished ashlar stone that is channelled at the ground level and partly cleaned of grime. The entrance features steps that extend over the basement, leading to doorpieces with pilastered reveals and a fanlight above. The upper windows are framed with architraves and have cornices at the first floor. The windows are sash style, with either plate-glass or 12-pane glazing. There is a band course above the ground floor and string courses at the cills of the first and second floors. The building has an eaves cornice and a blocking course, with axial stacks and slate roofs. Additionally, there are cast iron railings surrounding the basement and steps.
