Description

17 Lynedoch Street in Glasgow is a mid-19th century terrace designed by architect George Smith in 1845. This 12-bay structure consists of three houses, each featuring two storeys, an attic, and a basement. The exterior is made of polished ashlar, with some areas painted.

The entrance is accessed by steps that oversail the basement, leading to a doorpiece that has an architrave, consoles, and a cornice, along with pilastered reveals and a fanlight. All windows are also architraved and corniced, with those on the ground floor featuring aprons and consoles. The windows are predominantly sash style, mostly with plate glass glazing.

The building has an eaves cornice and a balustraded parapet at No 15, while Nos 13 and 17 have a blocking course, with No 17 featuring a modern dormer and mansard roof arrangement. There are axial stacks and slate roofs. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings leading to the steps and basement. Notably, No 13 has a door with coloured leaded glass.
