Description
Crosshill Parish Church, dated 1833, is a simple rectangular-plan church featuring classical details. It is situated within a churchyard, with a pedimented gable facing the street that has three bays. The church includes a domed belfry with pilasters and a louvred apex, and a central pilastered doorcase. The flanking sides also have three bays and segmental-arched openings. The exterior is rendered with ashlar dressings and features a single leaded window. The roof is slate, equipped with axial ventilators, a stack at the south, and a vestry.
The churchyard contains monuments, including cast-iron railed enclosures for the MacCall and Buchanan families located at the northwest corner. The churchyard is bordered by rubble-built walls, and there are panelled square gatepiers along with cast-iron gates and railings.
