18 Mirrlees Drive, Glasgow

16 Mirrlees Drive in Glasgow is a two-storey house built around 1906, similar in style to the nearby houses at 3-13 Mirrlees Drive designed by architect John A Campbell. The building features rock-faced ashlar stone with polished margins and quoins. It has steps leading up to a lugged architraved door, which includes a keystone and cavetto jambs. The vestibule doors are tripartite, showcasing fine art nouveau woodwork and leaded glass panels.

To the left at No 14, there are flanking doors leading to two-storey canted windows, while the inner bays have solid ashlar parapets that break through the eaves. The outer bays of Nos 14-16 have facetted roofs, while Nos 18-20 have bell cast roofs. Above the doors, there is a single-light architraved window, and at Nos 18-20, ashlar corbels support a balcony with a bombe section wrought-iron balustrade. The windows are sash style, with lower sashes made of plate glass and upper sashes featuring multi-pane glazing. The building is topped with a mutule cornice and has tall corniced axial stacks, all under slate roofs.

The flanks of the houses are plain rock-faced ashlar, with No 16 featuring a canted window on the ground floor and a bipartite window above. No 14 has a tall corniced stack, while the flank of No 20 includes a tall corniced wallhead stack that breaks through the eaves. An advanced bay with a canted window is present at the first floor of the single-storey and attic wing at the rear of No 20, and No 18 has a similar stack.
